As a parent I believe I am always modeling behavior. Your little ones watch from day one. They do what you do. They say what you say.
No pressure, but that’s how parenting works. You are their guide. For life.
And it’s no different when your children are adults with wonderful spouses, friends, careers, and life unfolding before their eyes.
I am still modeling.
We didn’t travel nearly enough when they were young, for a variety of reasons. And that’s okay. I didn’t just get one shot at helping them embrace the world around them. As their parent, I am always modeling, remember?
So I model empty nesting as adventure.
I model what it means to reimagine a path.
To take risks.
To follow a dream.
To explore. And learn new things.
I will always be their parent. I am their guide. For life.
